The full name of this delightful object is the 'Little Appointment with the Moon' lamp. It is quite a mouthful to say, especially for such a small item; nevertheless, the little light fixture has been endowed with ample aesthetic charm.
Designer Marine Hunot employed glass blowing techniques, both contemporary and traditional, to create glossy and matte surfaces of translucent color. The adorable table lamp comes in cobalt blue and cherry red, projecting forward through its primary opening and refracting outwards around its sides.
The 'Little Appointment with the Moon' light sits upon a tiny oak wood stand and works facing ahead. It would be a great choice for illuminating your work on your desktop, or perhaps for spotlighting a piece of art that's also propped up on the table.
