Agentic Procurement Platforms

Lio Launches Lio AI Agents for Automated Procurement

Lio launched an AI-native procurement platform built by co-founders Vladimir Keil, Lukas Heinzmann and Till Wagner, featuring agentic AI that executes purchasing workflows on behalf of enterprise teams. The startup introduced Lio AI agents to read contracts, query ERPs, evaluate suppliers and complete transactions, positioning the system as a virtual procurement workforce.

The Series A-backed product was announced alongside a $30 million round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from SV Angels, Harry Stebbings and YC alumni ties. Lio’s agents integrate with existing enterprise systems, run compliance checks, negotiate terms and aim to reduce manual ticketing and paperwork across sourcing workflows.

For enterprises, Lio promises faster cycle times and lower outsourcing costs by automating repetitive procurement tasks, freeing teams to focus on supplier strategy and savings. The launch signals growing adoption of agentic AI to shift back-office functions into strategic levers for performance.
