The Bluetooth 4.0 Mars is a Levitating Speaker

The Bluetooth 4.0 Mars speaker is a levitating speaker designed by Hong Kong-based startup Crazybaby. The speaker effectively levitates above its charging station, enabling it to project sound from every surface. Suspending the speaker above the charging station protects sound waves from being absorbed by surrounding surfaces, thereby improving sound quality.

The speaker comes with a cylindrical charging station that also doubles as a sub-woofer, in addition to a pair of USB ports that can be used to charge devices. It automatically recharges when docked in its base.

This incredible levitating speaker is currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign, with pledges of $169 currently available. The speakers will ship in April 2015 if the campaign successfully meets its fundraising target.
