Nestlé recently began producing bigger Nespresso pods in order to provide larger cups of coffee for American consumers. Although Nespresso has quickly become the largest single-serve coffee brand in Europe, the company has yet to capture the same attention overseas. Now Nespresso aims to cater to American consumers by providing bigger serving sizes.
In order to produce the larger coffee pods, Nespresso introduced a new single-serve machine that could handle higher volumes. Unlike the European version of the device, the new 'VertuoLine' is an eight ounce coffee machine that is designed to appeal to the American preference for larger cups of coffee. The pods feature the same high-quality rich coffee and espresso, but in sizes that are geared towards American preferences.
Nespresso's VertuoLine machine demonstrates an effort to cater to different consumer preferences by taking into consideration how coffee is consumed differently around the world.
