The Conceptual 'Lampen' Helps Children Study After Dark

The conceptual 'Lampen' is a multifunctional writing utensil for students who live in developing regions where electricity might be limited or nonexistent to help them study after the sun has gone down.

Designed by Hyunsu Park, the pen harnesses the power of kinetic energy by being shaken by the user for a short while in order to harness an electrical current. This will provide up to two hours of illumination at a time to keep workstations illuminated as children work on their homework or read after dark to ensure they aren't limited by what they can get done during the daylight hours.

The conceptual 'Lampen' can be used in one of several orientations to provide illumination in a direct or indirect way and even be used for writing.
