There is an odd and quiet quality about the 'La Famille Incertaine' (The Uncertain Family) photo series that captures the often eccentric and ambiguous nature of family units. As much as people would like to believe that families have the potential to be picture perfect, nothing ever is -- especially when it comes to the domestic scene.
Shot by talented French photographer Claudia Imbert, the La Famille Incertaine photo series was recently recognized by the Gens d’Image Association. Imbert was crowned the winner of the Prix Arcimboldo, a prestigious award that recognizes new creativity in digital photography and digital manipulation. Through subtle post-production, the La Famille Incertaine photo series was made all the more powerful for its fiction.
