A consortium led by L Catterton, alongside founders Christian Toetzke and Moritz Fürste, has completed the acquisition of Infront Sports & Media's majority stake in HYROX, with WndrCo also participating. Financial terms were not disclosed. Infront first invested in the fitness racing series in December 2019 and became the majority owner in October 2022.
In the 2025/26 season, HYROX drew more than 1.4 million participants and 1.5 million spectators across more than 100 events, with athletes training and competing in more than 30 countries. The founders say their priorities include Olympic aspirations and new products, while Infront plans to continue investing in its Active Lifestyle unit.
This deal signals that consumer-focused investors are backing event-led communities, turning a single-race format into a scalable category with training, gyms, and merchandise.
