Health-Empowering Luxe Bag Designs

Bridget Scanlan Designs a New Range of Bags for KYT

KYT, which stands for Keeping You Together is a brand founded by Bridget Scanlan, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 20. Soon after the diagnosis, the brand launched three designer bags that are meant to empower diabetics and create a more streamlined lifestyle on a day-to-day basis. The bags all have a smart layout with Italian leather and solid brass hardware. It all features organizers for supplies including insulin pens, pump consumables, and a testing kit.

Scanlan explains how the design concept came to fruition, “From talking to diabetics around the world, I got universal insights into the daily diabetes struggle. It sparked a thought: could smarter design empower people to feel better about dealing with daily treatment? I wanted to redesign diabetes, so we could all redefine it.”
