Capcom introduces a new look at its Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess game during the Summer Game Fest's Xbox Showcase. It is a Japanese folklore-themed game in which players are gathered at a sacred mountain that has been physically manifested as a blight that spreads throughout the land.
The flora and fauna are infected and attract creatures that are dubbed the Seethe. These creatures must be fought and vanquished in order to create a clear path for the Sprit Stone Maiden. She can find her way to perform the 'rite of cleansing' to then restore the land. Capcom does also note that Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is meant to follow in the footsteps of previous titles of the same theme.
