In an effort to better its customer experience, drugstore retailer Kruidvat is introducing self-checkouts in 1,200 of its European locations.
Limiting face-to-face interaction is one of the most important things consumers can do on an individual level to slow the spread of COVID-19. Kruidvat understands this, and aims to modernize the interior of its stores to help shoppers have a more comfortable in-store experience. In order to continue the POS evolution, the drugstore retailer partnered with NCR, a retail technology solutions company. According to Casper Oosterman, Project Manager Sales Operations at Kruidvat “NCR helps us remain competitive and provide a safer checkout process for our customers and staff in the light of the current pandemic.”
