Amazon has officially unveiled its newest lineup of Kindle devices, which includes the fifth-generation 'Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition.' For the first time ever, the new eBook reader will feature USB-C and Qi Wireless charging.
A definite upgrade from previous Kindle models, the 'Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition' boasts a larger 6.8-inch display, a warm backlighting option, and 32GB of storage, which is four times the amount of storage offered by the classic 'Kindle Paperwhite.'
Other models included in the updated lineup are a new basic 'Kindle Paperwhite' and the 'Kindle Paperwhite Kids'. The 'Kindle Paperwhite' has been upgraded with slimmer bezels and a faster processor for speedier page turns. This model also includes 17 LED backlights -- a significant step up from the five offered by the original model.
