There are standing desks, there are even treadmill desks, but the Kickstand Desk is one of the first workspaces that incorporates a bicycle to encourage staying active during typical sedentary times. Interestingly enough, the Kickstand Desk doesn't actually sport a built-in bike. The standard desk's dimensions have simply been tweaked so that the user's own bike can fit beneath it comfortably.
Conceived by Dan Young, who as a result founded Kickstand Furniture, the Kickstand Desk is manufactured in Cleveland. According to Young, "The real mission was to build a line of furniture geared toward the avid cycler. I love bicycles and if I had my way I’d be riding them every day. Now I can." Mission achieved.
