Urban Nigerian Fashion

The Kezia Frederick Graduate Collection is Vibrantly Layered

The Kezia Frederick Graduate collection is as vibrant and patterned as tribal-inspired fashion come. Rife with colorful turbans, chunky jewelry and eclectic prints, the designs are fun, light-hearted and perfect for the spring season. Just looking at the outfits will put a sunny smile on anyone’s face.

Created during the designer’s time at Central Saint Martins in London, the Kezia Frederick Graduate collection explores the idea of dual citizenship in the booming British metropolis. Style Bubble notes that it “combines photographs of style observed in London as well as of Nigerian women coming out of church.”

Photographed by Shiba Huizer, the Kezia Frederick Graduate collection is captured against a brick wall backdrop. Although at first the outfits look sorely out of place, this setting brings attention to urban touches such as Nike trainers and jumpsuits.
