The Keymera is a compact DIY camera created by designer Matej Nahtigal that combines 3D-printed components with a minimal electronics package. Small enough to fit on a keyring, the camera is built from five printed parts and four electronic components. The design is intended for home assembly, requiring only a few solder connections before the parts are press-fit together. A single button controls the entire experience, allowing users to capture and store photographs directly to a microSD card.
The camera generates its own Wi-Fi network for image access, enabling photos to be viewed and downloaded through a web browser without dedicated apps or cloud services. One electronics core can be paired with interchangeable shells inspired by different camera formats, including rangefinder, SLR, instant camera, and twin-lens reflex designs.
