Homme+femme & Churchill Downs Release the Kentucky Derby Collection

On May 1st, 2023, contemporary streetwear label Homme+Femme and the Churchill Downs horse racing complex in Louisville, Kentucky launched the chic Kentucky Derby collection. This capsule included a variety of varsity jackets—a signature for the Black-owned fashion brand, colorful workout blazer cardigans, tees, hats, and other accessories. The collaboration honors "the African American Horseman's History of the Kentucky Derby." In the process, Homme+Femme highlights that the "History of Black Horsemen and the Kentucky Derby are intertwined with 15 of the first 28 Kentucky Derbies being won by Black jockeys."
