Akua's Kelp Pasta can be enjoyed as an alternative to traditional pasta that's gluten-free, low in calories and packed with antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and omega-3s. Made with ocean-farmed kelp that's sustainably sourced and dehydrated, the Kelp Pasta is cut into noodle shapes and spherical blocks that make it easy to control portions—a bag contains four to six servings.
Preparing the Kelp Pasta requires rehydrating the product, then cooking the product over medium heat. Like traditional pasta, it can be enhanced with salt and oil and even prepared to be slightly chewy and "algae-dente" if desired.
While ingredients like gluten, eggs, milk and milk derivatives can be found in some kinds of pasta products, this alternative to pasta is free from all major allergens.
