Augmented Reality Furniture Apps

Augmented Reality Features are Available on the IKEA App

The IKEA app has gone under a revamping process. It is called IKEA Place and it shows users what furniture would look like in the room they're looking to decorate. Users can scroll through the IKEA catalog to see how different furniture pieces would look and fit into a certain room. The furniture in the room is shown within 98 percent accuracy to what the real furniture would look like.

The app was developed with Apple's ARKit, which helps to create augmented reality apps on iOS. The app functions by using the phone's camera sensors to map objects in a room. Users can then decide if the furniture fits and also how the furniture looks in a certain place. The IKEA app is free for download on iOs and Android devices.
