The Kavalan Gin has been unveiled by the Taiwan-based whiskey brand that aims to provide consumers with a premium take on the classic botanical libation.
The gin is triple-distilled and double charcoal-filtered to ensure optimum purity, while the malted barley used to craft the brand's whiskey is used in the recipe to boot. The liquor is infused with a blend six natural botanical extracts including star fruit, kumquat and guava, which all help contribute to a citrusy flavor and aroma that is distinctly aromatic and seductive.
Speaking on the new Kavalan Gin, Kavalan CEO YT Lee explained, "We want to offer a new gin experience this new year. That’s why along with the traditional botanicals of juniper, aniseed and coriander, we are giving people a taste of Kavalan’s home in Yilan with kumquat peel, dried star fruit and red-flesh guava botanical extracts. Taiwan is the kingdom of fruits and Yilan itself is lush and wet, offering its own mouth-watering fruits.”
