Trader Joe's has now managed to recreate the classic street food by working with a supplier in Thailand who uses a batter of coconut milk, rice flour, cane and coconut sugars, tapioca starch, rice bran oil, and sea salt to make the bite-sized pancakes. Shredded young coconut and taro root are also baked in to give the pancakes a little extra texture. All you need to do to enjoy the pancakes at home is heat them up in a microwave or air fryer and you're good to go.
