The Julien Fournie SS 2012 Collection is Daring

The Julien Fournie SS 12 collection is a life-sized, neon-colored walk in the garden.

The Julien Fournie SS 2012 collection premiered at Paris fashion week, boasting avant-garde styled pieces and plenty of character. The line is anything but traditional, with frequent use of zippers, sheer fabrics and shimmering details. It also included a slew of bright colors in perfect combination with neutrals to tone down the wild silhouettes. Fun pieces included were a sheer plastic geisha-inspired zipper dress, a neon-yellow neck tutu and a floor-length tube dress with leather detailing and rubber fringing.

Despite the wildly futuristic theme of the show, some pieces are wearable. The series includes mini-dresses in futuristic colors, which could easily be incorporated into everyday attire. A super fun piece on the wearable side is a pink silk mini-dress with a monk crossover collar.
