The Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2015 campaign applies a variety of tomboy motifs. Model Annely Bouma displayed the current collection via photographer Collier Schorr who made use of bright, clear lighting.
In each one of Schorr's images, Bouma is depicted in apparel that is reminiscent of pieces found in menswear collections. This is seen in thick black leather belts, crisp oxford shirts and dark crop shorts. These cuts and styles resonate with menswear apparel, taking the line away from overt femininity and towards male-oriented design.
Despite the masculine overtones, there are a few womanly hints present. This is seen in plunging necklines and revealing skirts. There is thus a slight mixture between the two gender-specific styles of dress.
