This Clock in a Jar, designed by student Oren Hetzroni, reminds me of catching fireflys as a kid. The jar clock inspires feelings both of nostalgia and sadness because while Hetzroni's clock reminds me of my childhood, it also reminds me of the futility of capturing time.
The Clock in a Jar engages us differently than other clocks because its hands are hung vertically. The outside of the jar is marked with hours, and the vertical hands travel around the inside of the jar. The 3D clock design separates this clock from other, more ornery, 2D clocks.
