Rewarding Fruit Harvest Games

Japanese Game 'Gochipon' Doles Out Real Watermelons to Top Players

Gochipon is a quirky Japanese game that rewards top players with real watermelons. As much as virtual farming games can be highly addictive, they require quite a bit of effort to upkeep and you don't actually get to reap what you sew, in terms of being able to actually eat any of the food you've grown—so Gochipon is a real win-win situation for gamers.

Gochipon has players run around a virtual world in search of food items and occasionally, a watermelon will be thrown into the mix. This is due to a partnership with the Suika Club and until June 17th, the Japanese watermelon growing association will be rewarding the players who've found the biggest and best watermelons with refreshing, real world melons.
