This Jacquemus Spring/Summer Line Offers Disheveled Couture
Malika Renee Butss — October 5, 2015 — Fashion
Reminiscent of a Hood By Air collection, the Jacquemus Spring/Summer '16 line features distressed and deconstructed fashion. Inspired by a dark time in the designer's life, this line is riddled with contemporary pieces fit for fans of street style.
The Jacquemus Spring/Summer '16 collection is animated, urban and slightly patriotic. The designer utilized a color palette consisting of blue, white and red, the same colors found on the French flag. The collection features 40 looks that have been torn down and reassembled in the most eccentric way. Asymmetry is a key design element with single sleeve tops as well as short/pant hybrid pieces. The traditional white cotton shirt is refashioned to include offbeat shapes and unusual draping.
This coming spring, the Jacquemus customer can expect to be the most eye-catching fashion fan on the street.
