The Jacquemus Le Chiquito bag debuted at the label's Fall 2019 runway presentation in Paris and surprised and delighted crowds with its shockingly tiny size. First teased on the label's Instagram page, the palm-sized accessory was captured in hand alongside a Fall 2019 show invitation and has been jokingly described by some outlets as being able to only fit one tic tac or a single airpod.

The viral Jacquemus Le Chiquito bag is reflective of the designer's sense of humor and speaks to his habit of experimenting with proportion. After debuting oversized straw hats and exaggerated beach bags in past seasons, Jacquemus released the original Le Saq Chiquito bag which also gained attention for its 3 inch height and miniature design. This talked about tiny bag has been a favorite among celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna, prompting Jacquemus to go one step further and make this cult accessory drastically smaller and more dynamic.

Though impractical to many, this accessory speaks to consumers' evolving perception of luxury and their growing desire for escapism through whimsical and artful objects that are purely aesthetic.
