The 'IWI' cabin has been designed by Juan Ruiz + Amelia Tapiao as an unexpected take on the supplemental home cabin that would provide one or more people with a dedicated space to work, relax and more.
The cabin is characterized by its expandable construction that, when closed, takes up minimal space on a property, backyard or patio. The cabin expands to reveal a spacious interior that works well as an office pod for one or more people, a private workshop for working on hobbies, a tranquil escape for relaxing on weekends and more.
The 'IWI' cabin is built with electric and water hookups to help inhabitants maintain their lifestyle when spending time in the structure. Featuring a cypress and plywood exterior, the cabin is built with double glass doors to maximize natural light, and features cork and sheep's wool for insulation.
