The 'Iris' smart ring is an intelligent, style-conscious wearable developed by a team of researchers that aims to bring advanced healthcare technology to the consumer. The ring maintains a stylish design that looks like a traditional piece of jewelry, but is equipped with a six Iris PPG modules to capture data and relay it to the user's smartphone. A total of six photodetectors and 18 LEDs are also incorporated into the compact wearable, which comes in at under four-grams.
The 'Iris' smart ring captures data related to heart health, blood oxygenation, calories burned, steps taken, respiration rate, body temperature, blood pressure, stress sleep and even fertility. The ring has a battery inside that will last for up to three days with a recharge taking just 20 to 40-minutes.
