Blood Pressure-Measuring Wearables

RingConn Debuts New Health Monitoring Capability

RingConn, a manufacturer of smart wearable rings, has chosen the IFA 2025 exhibition in Berlin to present a preliminary demonstration of a new health monitoring capability it is developing. This feature, named Blood Pressure Insights, represents a technological advancement the company is pursuing within the competitive wearable device sector. In this area, non-invasive and continuous blood pressure measurement is recognized as a significant engineering challenge.

RingConn's proposed Blood Pressure Insights are designed to function by requiring initial calibration with a standard arm cuff every four weeks. Following this calibration, the ring would then supply the wearer with daily estimations and trends related to their blood pressure.

The company emphasizes the significant global health impact of hypertension, citing World Health Organization data on its prevalence and the low rate of effective management, to contextualize the potential utility of a device that facilitates more consistent at-home tracking.
