This allowed individuals to make free voice calls from the United States to the countries competing in the semi-final, third-place, and final matches of soccer's major summer tournament on specific match days. These included July 14 for France and Spain, July 15 for England and Argentina, July 18 for the third-place match participants, and July 19 for the finalists.
AT&T's offer was automatically applied without requiring registration, promo codes, or activation, and covers calls made between midnight and 11:59 PM local time on each eligible day, with the entire call included if it begins before the window closes.
AT&T had also invested in advanced connectivity across all 11 U.S. stadiums hosting matches, as well as major airports and transportation hubs.
