Meta Announces the Launch of 'Digital Collectibles' on Instagram

Social media giant Meta has announced the launch of an all-new Instagram feature called 'Digital Collectibles,' which to start will be made available in 100 countries around the world.

The new feature will enable Instagram users to share their NFTs with one another via posts and messaging. Ideally, the feature will be used by creators, businesses, and NFT collectors as a way to build connections within their local creative communities.

In addition, Digital Collectibles will allow users to connect their digital wallets directly to Instagram, where they can choose what NFTs they would like to share. When a user posts an NFT, it will have a unique visual effect to differentiate it from traditional posts. What's more, users will be able to tag both the collector and creator of the NFT in a single post.
