China Plans to Build an Influential Space by the Yangze River

China puts plans into place to build a science-technology innovation community in the Yangze River Delta. This effort is to enhance the collaborative capabilities regionally. This region aims to be a community for innovation and advanced goals that center around influential science and technology at a global scale.

The modern community is expected to be complete by 2025. By 2035, it expects to be a globally leading sci-tech innovation community. By building this in the river, it gives the leading role of Shanghai as an innovation hub and pushes for advancements and collaboration in other regions by the delta area. The plan proposes, "joint efforts on building high-level innovation bases and key sci-tech infrastructure clusters, as well as collaborations on basic research, applied basic research and core technologies for key fields."
