Futuristic Beach Houses

The Iniala Beach House in Phuket Exudes a Shell-Shape

The Iniala Beach House is located in Phuket, Thailand, and looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. The design takes on a shell-like shape, which is fitting considering the resort is right next to the beach, overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.

The resort doesn't use traditional ninety-degree angles for much of the house, but instead the architects have opted to use more rounded corners. Horizontal and vertical lines are still employed, but the non-angular edges give the design a futuristic aesthetic, like something one would see on Star Wars. The furniture also matches this look, with the dining area featuring a waved ceiling, reflecting the ocean outside. The coloring used throughout also reflects the sandy surroundings where the structure is located.
