Wonder introduced the Infinite Makeline, an automated bowl-assembly system for multi-concept kitchens. It assembles up to 500 bowls per hour from 68 ingredients and moves an order from ticket to ready in under three minutes. The unit debuted in Midtown East, supporting six of Wonder’s brands in a compact footprint.
The platform uses universal dispensers that dose many items and lets bowls cycle through the system to build complex recipes. It connects with Wonder’s point-of-sale, kitchen display and operations software and has recorded 99.99% uptime across six concepts, evolving from robotics created by Spyce in 2015.
Chefs remain responsible for recipes and final garnishes, while the makeline handles repetitive tasks and precise portion control. Wonder is exploring further automation of sauce handling to broaden menu options without adding complexity. The company plans to roll out the makeline to tens of locations across the Northeast, Washington, D.C. area and Texas in 2027, with the goal of extending hours and lowering menu prices.
