Amateur and budding Android developers in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam can now apply for Google Play's Indie Games Accelerator. This new program by Google aims at helping independent developers grow their business and turn their concepts into playable games. The program will work by providing workshops and mentorships, led by skilled mobile developers and will even connect budding developers with investors/publishers.
The Indie Games Accelerator expansion into South Asia is being done to recognize the plethora of development studios growing in this area and Google will be housing the majority of its workshops and training at its HQ in Singapore. Applicants chosen for the program will be invited to join two all-expense paid bootcamps in Singapore that will teach pivotal skills to succeed in the indie games industry.
