This is a TV commercial for the Apple iMac starring actor Jeff Goldblum and he is seems to be completely wasted. I'm sure there was a reason for that but the result is very amusing.
Implications - Celebs in comedic spots like this don't take themselves too seriously. This lack of pretension and guile ultimately makes them more appealing to consumers who are tired of being sold to with blatantly disingenuous ads everywhere they look or go. For businesses struggling to connect with consumers and who are not getting any results with their tried and true approaches, there is definitely a lot to be learned from taking a slightly more irreverent approach to making a connection.
