Pantene recently launched a new pride-honoring campaign titled 'Don’t Hate Me Because I’m BeautifuLGBTQ.' The campaign tackles conventional stereotypes by revamping its iconic 1986 'Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Beautiful' advertisement.
"Hair is an impactful visual cue of transformation, and this new campaign from Pantene aims to show the beauty of all transformations and of all people," states Ilaira Rest, Vice President of North America Hair Care at Procter & Gamble. The campaign also features accompanying videos of three individuals who have had pivotal transformation moments and includes portrayals of their experiences with self-expression. The campaign encourages all viewers to be true to themselves and to hold their "head of hair [up] high with Pride."
