Iceland Foods Will No Longer Be Selling Palm Oil Products

Every day an estimated 25 Orangutans die due to the deforestation caused by the palm oil industry -- to draw attention to this, Iceland Foods created an emotional animated ad spot that highlights the brand's efforts to eliminate palm oil from all products found in its grocery stores.

Iceland Foods' "Rang-Tan" ad is voiced by Emma Thompson, who reads a seemingly sweet story about a little girl confused by the cheeky Orangutan in her bedroom. The tone quickly changes as it's revealed the cartoon primate is spending time with the little girl because of the humans destroying its forest.

The commercial closes with the little girl vowing to share her new friend's story as the narrator reads "the future is not yet written, but I'll make sure it is ours."
