Fake Speed Cameras

Ian Magee's Deceptive Birdhouse Works at Slowing Traffic Down

Ian Magee, a pensioner living in Williton, Somerset, just wanted to slow down traffic in his neighborhood. Sick of the constant zooming of speeding vehicles, he created a birdhouse that just happened to look like a speed camera. Although he has managed to enjoy some peace and quiet for a few weeks now, he is waiting for the local council to determine whether or not he has to remove it for breaching planning regulations.

Police are not bothered by Ian Magee's deceptive bird box, but others believe it requires a planning permit and that it is also providing unnecessary clutter to the area. Nevertheless, Ian Magee's odd avian box is already a fond home for some birds and may even be a nest for Pipistrelle bats, which would prove a problem for any who are looking to remove it.
