Wattbike Joins Forces with Hybrid Bike to Enhance Endurance
Wattbike has partnered with Hybrid Racer to offer an eight-week structured training program through the Wattbike Hub App. This initiative is designed specifically for athletes competing in hybrid racing events that combine endurance running with functional strength work.
The Wattbike x Hybrid Racer program was designed by founders Chris Hinshaw and Gus Vaz Tostes. It features two targeted Wattbike sessions per week alongside performance testing, such as a six-minute average watts benchmark. During the eight-week period, participants will perform two performance tests. Overall, the approach uses the precision indoor cycling technology to build aerobic capacity off feet, allowing athletes to develop cardiovascular endurance while reducing repetitive stress on joints and managing overall fatigue across a long racing season.
The partnership also brings expert coaching from Hybrid Racer's founders, who have used the bike extensively in their own training.
