In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Klas Tryborn — a Swedish club owner — recently announced a new concept in the Hotel Stadt in Lidköping where hotel rooms will be converted into pop-up restaurants. The 67 rooms will each have menus available and guests can order food through hotel reception for a private dining experience.
"We try to make good of the situation and we have a hotel that is empty and people are careful, but may still want to go out and eat. So now we set up tables and chairs in our hotel rooms and so restaurant visitors can sit in their own rooms and eat," commented Klas Tryborn.
