Cozy Rug-Inspired Slippers

Chinatown Market Launches the Hotel Slipper with Intricate Detail

Chinatown Market introduces its new footwear in the form of the Hotel Slippers, which is the brand's inaugural slipper offering for the season. The inspiration behind the design stems from founder Mike Cherman and his admiration of rugs.

He speaks on the project, stating “In the four years I’ve been collecting antique rugs, I’ve never gotten tired of the detailing and artisan execution throughout each piece [...] For me this project is Chinatown’s way of honoring those colors and stories to create a piece that goes deeper than just a silhouette.” The slippers' upper is constructed from a patterning fabric that has been seen on some jackets and apparel by the brand. It sits on a custom rippled sole unit as an elevated offering of hotel slippers.
