In celebration of the fall season, food blogger Chocolate Covered Kaite has put a delicious spin on the popular homemade cookie dough ice cream flavor by infusing the frozen dessert with pumpkin. The orangey custard is an ideal treat to enjoy during the autumnal season.
While this pumpkin cookie dough ice cream looks and tastes gourmet, it can actualy be made right at home with or without an ice cream machine. The recipe even offers a non-dairy version if you happen to be lactose intolerant. The ice cream is made with milk, pumpkin puree, spice seasoning, oats, chocolate chips and brown sugar that are combined together and mixed until smooth. The mixture is then chilled in the freezer before serving.
