Gemmy Industries' Holiday Plush Toys Pair with Amazon Alexa

Gemmy Industries, which originally launched its popular twerking plush toys in 2016, is now introducing two next-gen holiday plush toys that pair with Amazon Alexa.

The classic Twerking Santa and Twerking Christmas Bear have been updated to connect with Alexa-enabled devices via Bluetooth, so that voice commands can be given to bring the toys to life—when customers give the command "Alexa," the animated plush toys respond by dancing. The festive plush toys also have the ability to lip sync to the spoken responses of Alexa, as well as react to notifications, timers and alarms.

While there have been similarly animated toys released for the holiday season, the characters are typically programmed with a set series of responses or phrases. With these new holiday toys, consumers are able to organically interact to receive jokes, random facts, the weather, the latest news and more.
