Making gingerbread houses for the holidays is an annual tradition many households follow through with, but often times the holiday dessert acts as more a piece for show than an edible. The gingerbread house cupcakes are incredibly simple to put together, and require less building prep than a conventional gingerbread house set since these homes are much smaller in scale. The tutorial begins with freshly made gingerbread cupcakes topped with white frosting to act as the snow. Then wafers, oatmeal bars, chocolate cookies and fruit leather are used to create a 3D house with a snowy roof. A fresh spring of rosemary can also be added to replicate a pine tree.
