3D-Printed Floor Lamps

The HER Floor Lamp is a 3D-printed lighting design by Hu Yuanlin

The HER Floor Lamp is a 3D-printed floor lamp designed by Hu Yuanlin and produced using recycled PETG materials. The lamp is constructed from repurposed plastic waste, including discarded eyewear frames, which are processed into filament for additive manufacturing. Its form is built from layered segments that create a continuous shell around an internal light source. The structure is designed to diffuse light evenly while maintaining a stable, floor-standing presence suitable for residential interiors.

The lamp is manufactured using large-scale 3D printing to achieve precise internal geometry and consistent wall thickness. Light is emitted from an internal LED source and filtered through the semi-transparent printed surface, softening brightness and distributing illumination outward. The segmented construction allows the lamp to be produced without moulds or complex tooling. HER Floor Lamp combines recycled material use with additive manufacturing to create a functional lighting object designed for ambient indoor use.
