A wonderful alternative to the cream-heavy milkshakes of our childhoods, this healthy milkshake recipe replaces the ice cream component by using frozen bananas and peanut butter. A perfect morning treat to give yourself a protein-boosted start to the day, the faux milkshake only requires a handful of ingredients, making it cost effective and probably something you can make with what is already in your fridge.
In order to make this delicious healthy milkshake, you will need two medium bananas that have been chopped into bite-sized chunks, creamy peanut butter, skim or 2% milk, vanilla extract and some chocolate chips. In terms of tools, you will need a covered contain in which to freeze the bananas and an immersion or regular stand blender.
