This App Makes Mental Health Services More Affordable

'Joyable' is a new app that strives to make mental health services more affordable for the public at large. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, about 18 percent of the US population suffers from some kind of anxiety disorder. Although these kinds of disorders are highly treatable, very few people are able to access appropriate care.
Joyable aims to help more people treat their anxiety by making mental health services more affordable for the public. The app makes treatment more accessible by offering cognitive behavioral therapy for online users. Joyable users can work with a coach who will guide them through cognitive behavioral therapy exercises via text, email or phone. The online therapy sessions are designed to help the user learn tools for coping with their social anxiety.
While the app is not free, it does offer a more affordable option for those who cannot access traditional mental health services.
