The smart bracelets or VIBs (Very Important Bracelets) allow guests to gain entrance to their rooms, pay for their rooms on site, access different establishments, and use exclusive discounts in addition to offering express checkout. The smart bracelets will be available at the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, opening this summer, and for visitors of the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel.
This wearable technology not only ensures guests won't lose their room keys, but also mean they won't have to carry money with them around the hotel. The VIBs contain radio-location systems as well as radio-frequency identification. The gadgets are even coded for customer preferences and have access to Facebook and Twitter profiles for optimal content sharing.
