Hamil Farms and Others Launched a New 'Bock Chain' Beer

Hamil Farms, an Alberta-based company, teamed up with Canada Malting Co., Red Shed Malting, Last Best Brewing & Distilling, and TE-FOOD, to create a 'Block Chain' beer. The beer leverages blockchain technology to allow customers to trace ingredients all the way to the final product.

The beer is made from barley at Hamil Fams, and then malted at Canada Malting Company, Red Shed Malting handles quality assurance, and Last Best Brewing & Distilling does the brewing and packaging.

The increased visibility allows consumers to be sure the product is as advertised. Additionally, the Block Chain beer has a news feed where the consumer can see visual information related to the production process. The news feed resembles social media platforms and provides an immersive experience that goes beyond conventional beer consumption.
