'Sulake' Announced 'Immutable X' as its Sole NFT Platform for 'Habbo'

'Sulake,' the parent company behind the social media-video game hybrid 'Habbo' has announced that it will now use 'Immutable X' as the sole provider of Habbo NFTs. Immutable X is a layer 2 NFT solution, meaning that it has reduced carbon emissions in its minting process and reduced transaction fees when compared to its non-Ethereum-based competitors.

Habbo launched its original set of NFTs near the end of 2021, and these NFTs sold out nearly instantly. Now, Sulake will continue to create NFTs in a climate-conscious and affordable way with Immutable X. Habbo, which originally launched in the early 2000s as 'Habbo Hotel,' is a pioneer in the digital content ownership sphere, with its digital collectibles being present since the game's inception. Now, the move to collectible NFTs seems like a perfect fit for the platform's next business venture.
